Barcelona does not give up: preparing a complaint to UEFA © scanpix

"Barcelona” team officials were outraged by referee István Kovács's work in the Champions League quarterfinal match against the Atlético team.

As journalist Santi Ovalle reports, the Catalans are preparing to file a complaint with UEFA.

According to "Barcelona” representatives, the referee from Romania appeared pathetic.

It is claimed that I. Kovács only whistled for Atlético-favorable decisions – for example, he sent off the home team's defender P. Cubars, and did not award a penalty kick to the Madrid club when M. Pubillis handled the ball.

After the match, the unsuccessful work of the referee was mentioned by "Barça” coach Hansi Flick.
