Manchester United club midfielder and captain Bruno Fernandes commented on his loyalty to this team, the choice of a different path, and his desire to remain in this team:
My loyalty to this club has been strong even during the toughest times. I could have left twice.
The club said: No, we need you. Then I replied: Okay, you have given me something. I will also give you something back.
When we were struggling the most, I remained with the "Red Devils" team.
I hope everyone in the team understands this, as I had very good opportunities to leave.
I fully understand that I could have chosen a different path, probably one with more titles...
That’s why people talk about me differently, as I have titles in my cabinet.
I would not have stayed at Manchester United if they hadn’t told me about their goals to pursue the highest path possible.
There is a plan to fight for titles again, to bring the club back to where it used to be.
31-year-old Bruno Fernandes has been playing for Manchester United since 2020 and has scored 103 goals in 307 matches.
In this season, the Portuguese has scored 5 times in 17 matches.
Manchester United is currently tied for 5th-8th place in the English league with 26 points.
