Austria and Switzerland secured their places in the 2026 World Cup with identical results in their groups.

Switzerland drew 1:1 away against the Kosovo national team.

In the 47th minute, Ruben Vargas scored a goal, but Florent Muslija equalized in the 74th minute, so the Swiss did not achieve victory in the direct match, but the point was enough to qualify among the 48 strongest national teams in the world.

Austria broke through to the top with a more dramatic twist. They drew 1:1 with Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the decisive goal came in the 77th minute, scored by Michael Gregoritsch.
