The Madrid "Atletico" team failed to survive in Group B of the World Club Cup.

In the last round, the Spanish team defeated "Botafogo" 1:0, but due to a worse goal difference, they ended up in third place, falling behind the Brazilians and Paris' "Saint Germain" teams.

The only goal of the match was scored by A. Griezmann in the 87th minute.
