Antony: 'Bayern was interested in me, but I wanted to stay loyal to the Real Betis team'

The Sevilla "Real Betis" club's midfielder Antony revealed to the sports publication "Globo" that last summer he was sought after by the Munich "Bayern" club and the Brazilian had a conversation with Vincent Kompany:

"The Bavarians tried to acquire me on the last day of the summer transfer window.

V. Kompany personally called me... we talked and he said he had always been a big fan of my playing... but I had promised the "Betis" team and I couldn't betray them.

This team brings me joy."

The 25-year-old Antony has been playing for "Real Betis" since the beginning of this year and has scored 15 goals in 37 matches.

Before that, he played for the "Manchester United" team since 2022.
