Al Hilal withdrew from the Saudi Arabia Super Cup tournament

The number of teams in the Saudi Arabia Super Cup tournament has decreased.

The football federation of this country received an official letter from the "Al Hilal" team, announcing their withdrawal from the trophy competition.

Several reasons are mentioned in the letter.

The leaders of "Al Hilal" believe that the tournament, taking place from August 19 to 23, will force players to significantly shorten their vacations. It is claimed that the footballers are still recovering from the world club cup tournament in the USA.

Furthermore, the star-studded team does not want to play in another country – the Super Cup will be contested in Hong Kong.

After "Al Hilal"'s withdrawal, three clubs remain in the tournament: "Al Nassr", "Al Ittihad", and "Al Qadisiyah".
