After an impressive first season at the helm of Liverpool, Arne Slot faces serious challenges this season.

On Sunday, the English champions lost 2:1 at home to Manchester United, marking their fourth consecutive defeat across all competitions.

Following the painful defeat, the Liverpool manager stated that a coach's job always consists of challenges, and this situation is one of them.

"I believe that coaching always consists of challenges. At the beginning of your career, you have to prove your worth, then you rise to a higher level where you face new challenges again.

When I became Jürgen Klopp's successor, people said that it was the biggest possible challenge in a coach's career. Now we have four consecutive defeats, and this is again a new challenge.

A coach's job is like a constant challenge. If you have a winning streak, you want to extend it; if you lose, you want to win as quickly as possible.

Have we lost our confidence? I can't say that yet because we had countless chances to score in all the matches.

If you look at the highlights of our last three Premier League matches, it's hard to understand how we could lose all the encounters.

We have to continue the work we've started, but by improving certain aspects of the game. If we do that, we will definitely start picking up victories," said A. Slot after the defeat.
