When the Liverpool fans saw that Federico Chiesa was not traveling to Istanbul with the team, they were surprised.

The fantastic player, who's been showing excellent form, was included in the Champions League lineup after another Italian, Giovanni Leoni, was injured.

This decision was explained by Arne Slot at a press conference.

"Federico felt a bit of pain in the game against Palace. He tried it out in training, but he ultimately did not complete the session.
