Alexander Isak, selected for the symbolic eleven of last season, publicly spoke on social media about the current situation at Newcastle United. He expressed a desire to leave the club.
The Swede celebrated on Instagram being selected for the PFA Premier League Team of the Season. He continued: "First of all, I would like to thank my teammates and everyone at Newcastle United, who have supported me from the very beginning."
"I am not at the ceremony. With what is happening, my participation there would not be right. I have been silent for a long time. My silence has allowed everyone to release various versions of the situation, even knowing that it does not reflect the true situation and the conversations and agreements that took place behind closed doors.
The situation is that promises were made, and the club has known my position for a long time. When promises are broken and trust is shattered, relationships can no longer continue. That is the case for me at this moment – therefore, changes are necessary for everyone's benefit, not just mine."
A. Isak wants to move to Liverpool.
