On Thursday, the Mayor of Vilnius, Valdas Benkunskas, confirmed that the European Commission has approved the National Stadium project.

In the near future, work on the national stadium will be renewed.

About this news, Arvydas Avulis commented, who, through his real estate development company "Hanner," is significantly contributing to this project.

The entrepreneur expressed joy over the long-awaited EC permit. He also spoke ambitiously about how long it should take to build the stadium from this moment.

"As soon as the day comes when we can take over the company's shares from 'BaltCap,' from that day we should count 30 months, and the stadium will be," said the head of "Hanner" to 15min.lt journalist Kristina Aržuolaitienė.
